Research Summary
My research interest lie in understanding and exploiting the strongly non-linear behavior of granular media - the material second only to water as the most handled material in global industry. In pursuit of such knowledge, I perform experimental and computational investigations focusing on connecting observations at different length-scales.
Applications of my work include optimization of relevant industrial processes, mitigation of geophysical hazards, and rational design of granular-based adaptive mechanical systems.
